Today I come to write to talk about a dim situation, featuring a highly explosive athlete, a car accident, a dead girl, alcohol, and the mob.
We all know that Henry Ruggs shouldn’t have been driving 156 MPH.
We all know that he shouldn’t have been drinking and driving.
Despite how JUST you feel you are in demonstrating your displeasure on social media, however much you feel you are doing, look at what we have all become.
An unruly mob, with no sense of right or wrong, no sense of dignity, no sense of empathy.
For the last few years, THE TRYIN TIMES has been here, posting as things happen, and allowing the writer to expel feelings of entrapment and pressure to not speak on certain topics.
You may have read some of the things here on the blog before, but my goal is to simply help the reader separate from the matrix, the social media, the propaganda, the messaging, the programming, the TUBE, and just take a minute to think.
Step outside the MATRIX MOB.
Just take some time to think. We have become so entrenched (I am guilty) of trying to be FIRST and BREAK the STORY, so enveloped in the DRAMA, that we are creating it. We have become the TV show. The reality show is us. We are the constant show. You are the show. I am the show. Everything is a show.
Just take time to think.
Take time to be human.
Take time to be afraid.
Take time to research.
This is WHY the TRYIN TIMES exists. Just to try and inspire and ignite the spirit of the reader into not settling.
Henry Ruggs, Las Vegas Raiders WR was in an accident late last night, rear-ending a vehicle while driving 156MPH. He was intoxicated, and blew a .161. The female in the vehicle he hit was killed, along with her dog. As the car was up in flames, video showed Ruggs sitting waiting, watching the flames. Someone captured video of the event following. He has been booked, and charged with DUI that caused Death.
So why am I writing this?
Because I’m sick of people judging. I’m sick of seeing the constant Trolling. Trolling used to be an act that some* people chose to do. Now you can’t make your own assessment on a post about anything without someone giving their opinion. This Ruggs example is one of many everyday I see. We have become an angry mob of babbling idiots who constantly negate one another.
I’m sick of it.
I’m sick of seeing people judge others. Who are you to judge? Who the fuck made everyone so god damn proud? Religion is bastardized and demonized and in my opinion the absence of it has driven America into a tailspin. I have said for upwards of 10 years that there is no rule of honor in America. There is no code. There are various ways to make a living, but there is no code of honor.
I’m sick of it.
I’m sick of seeing people choose to drive their brother or sisters face into the mud, rather than lift it out of it. Where has all the love gone? Where has the truth gone?
Nobody cares what you think about Henry Ruggs. Nobody cares what I think about Henry Ruggs. In several days everyone will begin to forget about Henry Ruggs. He will begin to be a story that people tell at fantasy drafts. The woman he killed won’t be talked about, only by the people who knew her.
Rather than make yourself a part in the social media matrix story, why not take a second of gratitude that YOU AREN’T IN EITHER RUGGS OR THE DECEASED POSITION.
But wait, nobody drives drunk right? Especially not where I’m from in Buffalo NY.
I’ve seen so many people commenting on social media on the Ruggs situation, “lock him up.” “Why would he.” “For life.” None of which are judges. None of which are involved in the court case. None of which are reporters. None of which are law enforcement. I’ve seen so many judge jury executioners on social media today though.
The reality is, people drink, and people drive. And people drive FUCKED UP every day.
