Empower Your Mind – Grow Your Spirit

I am reading this book via Apple Books. You can also buy in AUDIO. I am only 4 chapters in but I highly recommend it. Much of what I am coming to understand from is is present in this post. <3

If you’ve followed the Tryin Times since the beginning of the pandemic, you’ll understand that this journey has begun and the commitment is never ending. I am balancing writing on here, as well as over on bleumafia.com to cover the Buffalo Bills, out of my own journey, and my own attempts to grow my spirit and empower my own mind to reach my potential. I wish I could commit all of my time to helping others find this light that I have found, but reality is I need to work to pay the bills.

I enjoy my day job very much for this purpose. Long before I realized how detrimental alcohol was on my spirit and mind, I was able to find a creative outlet that helped me see that there is power to visualization. There was a strange realization when I met my boss through email for the first time, as I sat in a dingy bar slamming an afternoon Hayburner.

The world seemed vast as the creative potential of my mind was able to find a “boss” who had planted his symbolic flag in the pit of business in America. After long years of working to understand the American system through corporate employment like Express, Olive Garden, JC Penney, and feeling like a true robotic slave worker for an unseen entity, I found a place to grow my mind.

I’ve always been a person of wonder and intrigue. I enjoy the ever expansive infinite possibility of thought. I struggle greatly with close mindedness. I struggle greatly with “impossibility.”

I have found in this dark pandemic, a child-like wonder.

I have found that we never age in the ever expansive universe that is infinite potential. We are always capable of learning and growing. We are always capable of change. We are always changing, never the same. We grow to understand who we “are” and call that person “I.”

You are Not “I”

“I” is just an expression of your past, and the experiences and observances you made during those experiences.

Let go of what you thought you knew, and return to the source of knowing that you are always capable of knowing MORE, and learning MORE, and Studying MORE.

Do not let the ills and programming of American and global propaganda to deter you from your inherent and wondrous spirit. You know you can see through the mirage. The truth has always been inside you.

Do your best to be the best every day long enough, and you just might start to feel your best.

Thanks for reading guys. Keep tryin.
