Film the Truth | Tell the Truth | Be the Truth
This past week has been difficult. People are reeling. No one can escape the truth right now. My blog has been dedicated to helping people get through these trying times. It has become clear to me that there is a higher purpose for all of us to begin educating ourselves, and being aware of what we need to do. I am here to report on what I see, I will do my best to be devil’s advocate, but my only bias is truth. I will do my best to offer insightful advice to the people I feel need it, be it based on facts and logic. Truth and Justice are my goals.
This morning I watched as a woman who attempted to stop evil in the moment of truth was forced to enter a matrix of people who do not accept her as one of her own.
Cariol Holloman-Horne said “he can’t breathe.”
If you do not know the story of Cariol Holloman-Horne. Briefly she attempted to save a man’s life amidst the response of her fellow law officers. She was eventually extradited from the team and asked to leave. There are many further details to the original story of her dismissal. You can some read more on that at the below links.
1 Brave Woman
This morning she went on facebook live to show us all who was moving in to protest? support? convene? whatever you’d like to think, all the people going to celebrate? the arraignment? of the 2 Buffalo suspended officers, along with what I assume to be in solidarity for police.
She spoke up for truth and justice while wearing the colors, and she isn’t on “the team” anymore. This morning she became one of the most brave individuals I’ve ever seen in my life.
She walked right into the lion’s den with her camera up and began showing the faces of the individuals who stood there, like the guy who won’t move at a concert.
Her courage was met with little respect, complete ignorance, and then the “anti-” rhetoric that many law enforcement individuals seem to carry once they become an officer of the law.
Once again, I love good cops. I believe in good cops. I believe good cops protect truth and justice.
But there seems to be a crossover that occurs that means once you are one of them your loyalty rests in the connection that you have to it. The system is intertwined and if it wasn’t then why would people be downtown today?
When I saw her former “team” all begin to box her out, is when I realized who she was, and couldn’t believe she had the fortitude to enter that web.
They were “kindly,” with their backs turned, backing her out and removing her from her point. She maintained strength in her voice and remained calm and civil and poignant.
She then elevated herself up onto a cement blockade, so that she could get a better angle of the crowd. The men in front of her blocked off her perspective with their bodies and umbrellas. This I couldn’t understand.
What was the goal of the blocking? What was this intention? To hide what they are there for? I would love to hear any other perspective.
Also noteworthy, a black umbrella was held up, and everyone cheered. You will find that in the full video below. Anyone know what’s up with the black umbrella?
Regardless, this is when I thought of KKK masks. This is when personally, I couldn’t unsee KKK masks in my mind anymore. These are people who have loyalty to some, not to all. These people are in the minority.
We are here to protect one another. We are all on the same team.
The last few days I’ve seen some of the strongest signs of hope for morality, and also some of the strongest signs of embedded, rooted, sick evil that has tarnished our character and our leadership.
We must be our own media, we must work together and form a pack of truth tellers.
The ones who understand must record.
The ones who understand must write.
The ones who understand must survive.
The ones who understand must see us through this.
Stay safe, watch the video for yourself and make your own judgements and assumptions on your own principles.
