So what happened to “United We Stand, Divided We Fall?”
“Look, I’m not looking to go too far into politics” or “I don’t usually talk politics” are some of the most bullshit statements Americans make, and especially in 2020. Many barkeeps will say to not talk to a drunk about religion or politics.
Well. Don’t talk to an American about religion or politics in 2020.
Personally…I don’t really pick a side. I am what some call “the problem.”
Really though?
Would a quarter century marriage ending in divorce be blamed on the therapist brought in to try and reconcile 24.9 years of not trying for the other person?
I was sort of coerced into signing my name on the independent dotted line by a ruse. At 18 or 19 I was living with my parents over summer break and a door to door guy came around asking if I wanted to join the Independent party.
Well here I am writing at 30 why I am an Independent. Or maybe why I’m not Democrat or Republican.

I do believe corruption and deception and evil has infiltrated much of politics.
I also believe that this notion could be disputed.
Much like anything any position that can be made can have one be made in opposition, by it’s counterpart.
Therefore, if a position is made, some of the populous will follow, and some will not agree, therefore will not.
This is a safe assumption.
It’s also safe to assume some people may want to sit and think about it for a few minutes. Perhaps mediate the 2 sides for a few minutes.
So why do people choose to follow based on party alliance? I can understand a 2 party system many years ago. When this country was separating from a “mother” country and bleeding for independence. When times were simpler and there were 2 churches, 2 parents, 2 genders, etc.
I also remember reading of a time where this “2 way life” chose to differ and men were forced to wear southern grey or northern blue and stab their brothers in the back. Would you walk around with your arm hanging off for your cause?
But … Times are changing, and they aren’t ever going to be that way again in America.
If you believe that the Civil War couldn’t happen again in today’s modern era, think again. America has been in the middle of the theological, territory battle in the middle east for almost 30 years. We play mediator for others who struggle to agree..
My neurotic fears draw similarities and potentialities of a territory-less war between brothers on American soil. Who do you think you’d side with? Would you walk around with your arm hanging off for your cause?
So when will someone step in and mediate?
When will an independent, mediation element start to stand in and support our territory with positivity and growth? When will the AMERICAN SPIRIT start to stand the fuck up and fight, together? When will people start to turn to their brother and listen and stop pointing up toward the papal leaders they voted for? When will they see that they do not and will not have your interest in mind until you show progress? Show work. Show effort. Show unification.
When will they see that 550 people in a Greek ripoff city-state represent 320 million hard working tax payers? When will they see that they have the power to hold office? When will they see they have the power to organize and think as a group? When will we see that the tip of the iceberg is just beginning to shine in the light that is truth? 20+ Trillion Dollars in debt… what’s the federal government’s credit score right now? Do you think they will protect you from your opposition in a nightmare scenario?
If you take 30 minutes away from the swarm of hate, you may remember what you really care about. Who you really care about. Who you’d really fight for. Who you’d really die for.
Because you’re a human being too. You aren’t just a dem. You aren’t just a rep. You’re an American. Start acting like it.
